Polk Audio model 5 speakers from the mid 1970s

Is there a wiring schematic for the early model 5 crossovers that have 2 fuses 2 resistors 2.7 and 6.2 Ohm 5watt and 2 capacitors 12uf and 34uf 50vac. I can not find this one in the archives

This may help. This is the model 7 of the same vintage.
One can assume the 5's have a slightly larger tweeter attenuation resistor to better mesh with the slightly lower bass output

What's the date on the crossover and drivers? Do your Peerless have no small hole in the dome? Are they the earlier ones that may have had the Audax tweeter? I'm not sure if Polk had moved on to the Peerless by the time they introduced the 5.
Anyways, I screenshot interesting for sale stuff on eBay sometimes and this was a 3-17-83 5A crossover. Looks like the caps were both NP electrolytic at 27uF and 12uF. The resistors are 2.5Ohm and 2.7Ohm, so it looks like the tweeter series resistor was less in the 5A at 2.5 Ohms. I also have a crossover dated 1-21-82 that has a different make of 12uF but everything else is probably the same although I can't read the MW capacitor value.

He knows the values. He wants the wiring schematic, which isn't available here.Political Correctness'.........defined

Right. And he knows that it isn't in the archives. It is interesting to see how things changed over the production even though the drivers were the same. The pictures I posted will allow him to compare to his crossovers and, with the schematic tony posted, he can figure out which resistor is in series with the tweeter (the outer one on the board which is probably the 6.2 Ohm) and which is shunting the tweeter (the inner one on the board).George / NJ

Presuming he has the crossover board since he has the components it's pretty easy to trace the signal path.Political Correctness'.........defined

This must be what yours look like? Different PCB layout apparently.

Remove the 4 screws from the PCB and flip over and do you up a Circuit Board Layout sketch like this one for the Model 11/RTA 11 as a first step towards a schematic sketch. Yours is a much simpler one than this one. Also, I think it is high time we started a thread in the Schematics section where members can put in their own sketches of schematics of the older models where there is no schematic in the archives if that would be agreeable @Ryan_Polk :
