SDA-1 interconnect cable

Options
Hello everyone, I have a question regarding my Polk audio FDA ones. These speakers come with an interconnected cable. As one would imagine, after all these years, the connection and back to the speakers do not hold the cable in. Since this set up is obsolete, I will need to find a solution. My question is, are those connections polarized? Can I just get away with splicing the interconnect cable and placing pins in them to get a signal question

Polarized in the sense that large blade to large and small to small...yes.

You might be able to use a very thin needle nose device to reach in the socket and squeeze the tabs together as a temporary fix.

Another work around is to apply some solder to the blades to increase their thickness. Be careful not to melt the plastic end.
