Looking for advice before replacing a failed TPA3116D2DAD amplifier board

My powered workshop speakers recently stopped producing sound, and after some troubleshooting, I believe the TPA3116D2DAD amplifier IC has failed.
I can either replace the whole amplifier board or try replacing only the IC, since the surrounding components all measure normally.
Has anyone repaired a TPA3116D2DAD board successfully? Was replacing the chip worthwhile, or did you later discover additional hidden failures?
I'd really like to hear from people who have actually repaired one instead of replacing the entire module.

I recently bought a TPA3116D2DAD amplifier board from Avaq to replace my failed unit.
After receiving it, I checked the part marking and solder joints, then installed it with the same power supply and speakers. The new board powers on and audio output works, but I want to confirm if any extra checks are recommended for long-term reliability.
Has anyone tested this replacement board with similar setups? Should I add any protection or thermal improvements? -

Are you using this board for a PSW10? We don't generally have much experience with third party boards but it might help to know which model you are referring to so we can provide some additional guidance.
