anyways, back to topic, this is indeed a for sale thread, and seller has right to set any price by will, it doesn't hurt to post an ad, and general public don't need to feel offended by the price, it caught your attention right, but if the price is not right for you, forget it..

    George,
Lets just put an end to your suffering. Send it to me free of charge and I won't put you to all the bother of trying to sell it and accepting payment and such. I won't even bother you with payment for shipping it to me. If I don't like it I promise not to complain. I got you into this so now I'll help you get out of it as painlessly as possible. :D

On a serious note, I wonder if George got one of the newer ones with the different processor chip I've heard they are putting in them now? I wonder if it could sound crappy compared to the previous ones?? Does anyone know the number of the new processor or is that a rumour?

    George,

By my count there are, at minimum, 6 in this thread who disagree with your assessment. Don't pop a vein, please read on.

If you were to raffle the infamous item, at say $10 per chance delivered, it seems a win/win scenario could develop. Those who like the unit, or would like to try the unit, have a chance to acquire yours for appreciably less than on sale pricing. You recover your costs and are rid of it.

The Lovely Wendi could draw the name from the hat during her and Troy's upcoming visit. In the event the raffle becomes profitable beyond your wildest dreams, you could buy enough rum to get everyone drunk(er) at Mark's house.

My apologies in advance if this offends your (or anyone else's) sensibilities and/or violates forum rules.

    I think that's brilliant actually...
There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin

I haven't been able to get back here for a few days.

The machine goes in the closet and if and when one of the DVD players in the house craps out I'll have a dvd player to replace it with. It does NOT sound near as good as what I use for cd players in either rig.

This moron anonyRAT cracks me up. I have more time in the freakin' Cone of Confusion alone than you've got breathing air knucklehead.

Like somebody else said, the machine got offered for sale. You're not interested, then just shut the **** up.

Not really.....actually this is it right here.

"No matter at what point a sound originates on a conical surface like the one illustrated, it is always the same distance farther from one ear than from the other. Accordingly, though the hearer can tell from which side the sound comes, he cannot discriminate among the many possible locations."
BTW, that's George Grand (of the jersey Grands) in the middle :D

The cone of confusion is the feeling you get when you're talking to your wife. It's similar to the "twilight zone," except that while you're in the twilight zone you've gone mad, but in the cone of confusion, you get mad.
