    The "Sounds in Space" Experience

    The 1958 demo LP was typically bundled with new RCA Victor stereo phonographs to prove the capabilities of the new technology to consumers.

    The Narration: Voice-over artist Ken Nordine guided listeners through the "space age" using his signature hypnotic, jazz-inspired delivery style.

    The Demos: It featured a mix of dramatic audio effects—like an indoor swimming pool echoing across channels and cars racing by at the 500-mile speedway—interspersed with musical excerpts from artists like Lena Horne, Igor Stravinsky, and Julie Andrews.
