Any one here have the RSD version, how is the quality of it??

    Its Ok. I have listened to it a couple of time. You know the type of pressings I like. This one is not to that standard but it is not bad.

    I have the Reprise UK: WX264 925837-1 Made in Germany version. I haven't played it lately, IIRC it's pretty good.

    Awesome. I have a couple, I think, but I don't remember which and not the RSD. One is one of the early pressings from when I was fed up with junk modern vinyl.

    I wish Baja Sessions would release on vinyl. I like pretty much all of Chris Isaak's albums, and Baja Sessions is one of my most favoritest. When I think of albums that would "make the vinyl experience", this is one that always comes to mind. I can't believe he hasn't had it done.

    Although no high resolution version of Baja Sessions appears anywhere the original CD was/is an HDCD, which was sometimes a stealth thing back in the mid-1990s. The CD sounds very good. No weak tracks on it. I've listened to it many times all the way through in the last 30 years! B)

    For the SACD it says,
    A quick note on “In the Heat of the Jungle”: On original CD releases of Heart Shaped World, this track clocks in at 6:20. For this reissue, Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab used the shorter 4:38 version originally included on original vinyl copies of Heart Shaped World. The label supplied MoFi with the shorter version.

    Interestingly, they don't say that for the vinyl version and they don't list track times for either.

    Edit: yep, my original CD is 6:20 and honestly the sound quality is excellent. Think I'll have to pass on the MoFi.

    Okay, I got to have some fun today with Chris Isaak.

    I for one didn’t see the that “The Heat Of The Jungle” had a shorter version or a longer version, I have only owned the CD and after looking it does in fact clock in at 6:20

    I fired up the system, and let everything warm up, all of it..

    First I immersed myself in the vinyl version of this great album, front to back it is fantastic.

    I then went back and Played In The Heat Of The Jungle one more time. I then played the HiRez from Qobuz, then the SACD, and then the standard CD version..

    First I must note, while the longer version is cool, I really don’t miss it when listening to the shorter version. It wasn’t near the deal breaker I thought it might be, after reading Jesse’s post..

    Mobile Fidelity did a fantastic job, on the Vinyl, and the SACD, one would be very happy with either one of them. I wish I had a standard vinyl copy as well to compare..

    The standard CD is great, and has always been a go to for me, but I love this album, so I am biased. 😁 But the SACD is a step better, as well as the vinyl.

    Streaming the HiRez version, lets just say I didn’t listen to the whole song, I forwarded it towards the end for the drums. but was still disappointed..
    Had I not been sitting here playing with the other formats, I more than likely would have just enjoyed it.

    So for me the Vinyl and SACD are tough to pick the better one, both are great, and the while I would put the CD version behind them, it still kicks a$$. The HiRez is definitely the clear loser here..

    Keep in mind I only compared the song In The Heat Of The Jungle on these formats, I did listen to the whole vinyl version, and 4 songs off the SACD after I did this comparison..
