Yes hello in 7 days I get them and I can't wait . I don't know lots about them but I got for awesome price. I had a Denon AVR-X7200W but I sold because I was told there would b issues so I bought a Adcom GTP-500 & GFA-555ll. But anyways I was told now that my room is not big enough I'm putting n my bedroom. It's
148" width
142" depth
95.5" height
I have a TV mounted to wall and I can't drill anymore holes so anyways I was told they need to b even? When I figured it out they would then both sit 9" from side wall and 9" away from rear wall. And I was told that's not good. Also the guy I got Adcom from had a few pairs and he said he liked them better with out cable but everything that I have read says not to use without it? Ive never had any speakers with so many rules. They were owned by a good friends father who recently passed. So I got opportunity to buy. Any advice is appreciated!!!
I pretty excited I'm going from a/d/s/ Sat6 bookshelf to the Polks. -

Also I have a Klipsch SPL -120 but I'm being told I won't need a sub. I find that hard to believe. I've had Polk Monitor 11T before and that also had passive well that had a 8 and 10 passive radiator if I remember correctly and they made bass from mids also. How much bass will they make? Lots of what I'm being told this from is guy who owns a lesser model of SDA. Im jus curious l. I'm really not a vintage fan so much but I have owned a few but never some that wouldn't run on receiver. I'm a M&K Sound fan.

Sorry one more thing I've seen SDA SRS 1.2 & SDA SRS 1.2TL what does that mean? What's difference? My first thought was transmission line but thought it's a passive radiator so I doubt that.

Different tweeters. 1.2 came with SL2000 tweeters. The 1.2tl came with the SL3000 tri-laminate (TL) tweeters.
You will not find out what the SDA is all about in that small room set-up. Closer to the wall more better bass, farther out from the wall less bass. They make REAL GOOD bass, do not let those little 6.5" drivers fool you. -
I believe it’s the use of the tri-laminate tweeter.L600 (front), R200 (rear), R200 (rear surround), L400 (center), Sunfire HRS-10 (2)Marantz AV7706Sunfire Cinema Grand, Marantz M8077, Music Hall Stealth, Ortofon bronze cartridge, Parasound Zphono XRM, Sony UBP-X800

A 12 x 12 x 8 foot room is a square box, about the worst for any speaker especially SDA speakers.Political Correctness'.........defined

Dam that is what I have been being told. I have friend helping me get them to my room so I don't even know about moving them after either. No body commented on the guy telling me he likes them better without the cable?
-
Thank you for the info !!! So there is upgrades for these does anyone know what they are and price range? I read about tweeter upgrade but that is so they won't b as bright I like bright

Without the SDA cable connected you are missing everything SDA speakers are about.
Use the search feature, there's an almost unlimited amount of info here on all things SDA.
If you like bright, ear bleeding sound look at Klipsch.Political Correctness'.........defined

Well that guy is not very bright. That guy probably had them set up wrong, they may of had them toed in like regular speakers which is a no no with SDA.No body commented on the guy telling me he likes them better without the cable?
In a different room where they can breathe they will create a huge stage. A good set of speakers set up correctly will absolutely disappear in the room. By that I mean the sound no longer comes from the speakers themselves, it comes from a huge wall of sound where you think the wall behind them is making the sound. The singer is locked in the middle, the other instruments are exactly where you are expecting them to be. Very few speakers can do this. -
Stuff them in that room and have an amazing time with them.
Later you will need help with the why what when how of those speakers.

Those speakers in that room will make it sound like sitting inside the music.

Emlyn didn't I read somewhere that you had some SDAs that were close to wall? Was room you had them in close to my size room? Did you later put them in bigger room? If so what was difference?
-
I had a pair of the original SDA-SRS in a room that was around 11 x 11 feet for a while. They were fun to listen to in that space but the only furniture in there with them was a two-seater sofa up against the wall opposite the speakers. Stereo imaging was fine but they overloaded the room with bass reinforcement if they were played at too high a volume and had a small soundstage compared to what they were capable of. They performed as designed only when I moved them to a suitably sized room in a different house that was large enough to let them breathe.

I had a pair of them in a 19x15 space, and they were too much for the room. I downsized to a pair of Legend L800...The Gear... Carver "Statement" Mono-blocks, Mcintosh C2800 Arcam AVR20, Oppo UDP-203 4K Blu-ray player, Sony XBR70x850B 4k, Polk Audio Legend L800 with height modules, L400 Center Channel Polk audio AB800 "in-wall" surrounds.
