Updated pics of the "Reworking the Rack" thread

Just need to connect; speaker cables, trigger cables and fan cables, and of course, install the side panels. Then, put power to it and let'r rip!!

The project is coming along nicely. I left room over the power conditioner as I will later add a second one.

The rear of the rack shot, posted especially for @EndersShadow. And yes Dan, the AC Infinity fans work great, all rear exhaust with the open back of the rack. I hope you like the effort on cable management so far B)

Is that room on a concrete slab floor? When I moved to a home with no basement or crawl space years ago everything improved audio-wise, and no weight limits.

    Nice rack. B)

    Thank you!!

The entire house is tile floor. The three bedrooms are carpeted. I lucked out. The house was a rental when I first moved in. One of my uncles owns a carpet business and laid new carpet in it prior to the move in. The AC units inside and out were replaced while I was renting. When the owner told me he was going to sell it, he gave me first consideration. My mom was a top broker in S.A. and helped me with her connections to get the deal I got. One of my cousins owns a title CO and was the closer. One of my other uncles previously owned the house and suggested I go look at it to consider renting it. The rest is history

Here's a pic of the oak shelf I made for the DAC, well, I cut the board, fastened the end piece and clear coated it. Waiting on a pair of .06m XLR's so I can complete the install and button it up.

    Wow, that's a lot of hook-ups. Well done. B)

What do you think all that gear + the rack weighs? 800+ lbs. maybe?

    Thanks Tony!!

Good question. The entire thing, rack plus gear, is right about at 500lbs, not counting all the mounting hardware, fans and cables.

Looks good man! Cable management is about as good as you can get without longer cables.

Now just get rid of that Emotiva stuff in favor of Parasound and we can talk 😂
