SDA CRS or CRS+

So I went a did a thing yesterday. These speakers were orphaned and I decided to give them a new home. Drove a little over 2 hours to pick them up. And as a bonus got to spend the day with my son. As the title says I'm not sure if they are SDA CRS or the CRS+. Need to get an interconnect cable or thinking about making one like in this thread.

Would like to find the ends that @DeRod used on page 2. If that will work for me. Planning on running them as they are for the time being and then figure out rebuilding the caps and possibly replacing the tweeters. Also thinking about making a set of stands like the factory ones but would need to find the measurements first. zzbf47p7legv.jpg

Thanks for all the information so far. I'm glad to hear that they are the CRS+.

For the interconnect cable, would it be better to:
    1. Purchase one from ebay
    2. DIY with cable like this: https://a.co/d/059c9RoO
and use a male RCA end and disregarding the flat terminal.
    3. DIY with the same cable but utilizing the speakon ends and changing the female sockets on the speakers.

Does anyone have a set of the original stands that they would take measurements of, I'd like to make a set.

If you're going to make your own, make better looking ones, and make them the full width of the speaker..

Yes that is the plan. What height should they be? Length of bottom foot? Appears to be 1" tube to me. Should I go with a thicker or thinner gauge of steel? I assume thicker would be better.

If you're going to weld up a set, make sure to leave some holes to fill them up with dampening material like sand, aquarium gravel, etc. You could probably drill holes after and plug them up with a panel hole plug.

To answer your question. the original stands are 25" tall. 14.5 wide. Just measured mine. Depth on top is 7" bottom is 13". Not that you need that if you are building your own I do not guess...

Thank you @VSAT88. I am going to build my own and appreciate you taking the time to get the measurements. I'm sure I'll make them the full width of the cabinets like @Toolfan66 suggested, but the height and depth is what I wanted to know. This will allow me to make sure that they are stable. Thanks again.

You should make the stands tall enough to have the tweeters at ear height. I found them too short and added tall spikes to increase the height. Still shorter than I would have liked.

Also, the speaker should be isolated from the stand by resting on rubber pads or the like.

This is exactly what I did.
