It speaks VOLUMES that you plug your chargers into a Monster power center. I bet it really helps the "harmonics" in those power tool batteries
😂 -
I like it. One of my old racks sits in the basement and is chock full of kitchen knick knacks which my wife likes but me not so much. But it is better than filling it with vintage gear that will never get fixed.

I only have a few drivers on one top shelf of a 10" deep bookcase, and the charger is an arm's length away on a hanging 3.5"d x 12"w x 3' tall shelving unit I made for VHS tapes years
ago. There's a rolling metal grate shelving unit under it that has my extension cords (rolled up on round cord holders on the bottom shelf. The top is a catch all tool shelf of pliers, chisels and little pry bars.
My set-up has been like that for YEARS.
This shelf looks like it would work.

Here's an even bigger unit that would hold your tools.

Twice the powa and runtime at half the decibels Hahaha. -
Halen, I ended up breaking down and got the biggest Milwaukee tool chest I could find. That holds most of the smaller tools and was filled up in a day. The rest of the tools are on metal shelves from Sam's Club that I can wheel around at will. Both in the garage and in the shop.
That was the only way I could think of to store all of the various tools I have. In the shop, some of the bigger tools are stored on wooden shelves I built.
I'll never understand why anyone would need so many drills though. I have 2 battery powered and 1 large plug in for those industrial type applications. I don't recall ever wishing for a 4th drill. I only have two hands.

I'm right there with you Tom on the drills. I had two corded Milwaukee, 3/8" and 1/2". I bought a regular Milwaukee M18 and impact battery set on a Father's day give away sale and the next year I got the small M12 reg and impact set at father's day, again give away sale for less than $70.
The smaller set works excellent for a smaller footprint when putting together stuff where you do not need the big battery on the bottom. They get into much smaller places easier. -
Oh, chit. I lied. I completely forgot about the two impact drills, as I rarely use them. Now I am up to six. What a hypocrite!!! DOH!

Several years ago I started my cordless tool collection with some 24v Kobalt tools bought here from the Polk forum classifieds. I forget who I bought them from but I'm deep into 24v line with most of their tools and probably 2 dozen batteries. Also deep into the Kobalt 80v line and I just picked up an 8amp 80v battery on sale today. Whoever it was here that started me on that line I thank you.

I feel I could still use more. I am getting my children into more DIY people projects. Teaching them first the safety of using the tools and working on a project together.
Instead of passing my drill over, I will tackle one section and have them tackle another section. My children are seven and ten now.
One more item I need to get ( kids will not be using this yet) is a track saw. I plan on using the track saw much more and my circular saw much less.
Tools storage and turning the garage into something more manageable is high on the list this year. And I I could repurpose old audio things for it, it is a go.
Speakers coming soon. It is on its way. -
My track saw is my circular saw and a 1x6 and two heavy duty clamps
😂😂 -
My track saws are table saws. One big one for the shop and one portable. Otherwise, in the field? Run the line or do what @pitdogg2 does. I don't need more tools at this point. Less is more.
Now in your case? Perhaps...but if the kiddos ain't gonna be using it? Why more tools that do the same thing?

These are GREAT for a track saw, if you will, and is what I use. HD, very strong magnetic grips that keep things perfectly in line with the table saw. I can stand 7 feet away with perfect precision to guide the sheet through. No need at all to follow a chalk line or pencil line. Just perfect precision.
You literally need to slam them from the side. Otherwise, they do not move at all, and keep the lumber in line with the cut.

When I had my first child back in 2015, my audio journey slowly phased out. I could not always watch them and they may potentially damage my gear. So the sell off began.
I used to have a table saw as well. I let go of many of my wood working tools.
Now that the kids are older, I am slowly trickling back into it.
My children are into arts and crafts. Building things. The challenge right now is having them put things back in order. Haha -
That Monster unit looks to be in immaculate condition. I guess the previous owner really took care of his gear.
Cool that you’re getting your kids into woodworking. Quality time spent with them now, and skills they can use for the rest of their lives.Things work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out.-John Wooden -
Hahaha. Paul. Immaculate for sure. The owner now lives in Paris. The good life with all that land.
