AI for assistance

Anyone else using AI besides myself and one other I know about to assist in your set up?
And if so, how has it helped, if at all?
For me, it was about synergy. It started with my DAC upgrade; I plugged in my entire set up and asked which direction I should go for the DAC. I couldn't' be happier, well maybe a little

I think it's a good way to aggregate a bunch of information from the internet and give someone a decent starting point.
Especially in such a subjective hobby, I think it's important to remember that the internet is full of nonsense, and AI will be pulling from that information as well. -

I'll never, ever understand why anyone would use AI for said purpose.Political Correctness'.........defined

I think it's pretty clear that, to date, the best use of AI is in the creation of fresh new p -R- 0N.
Wait... did I just type that?

Exactly! The input taken is only as good as the input given.

That said, when I got my Memory Player, it didn't come with a manual. I tried winging it to no avail, so I went and asked Chat GPT for some advice. Through asking the right questions, not only was I able to get her up and running, I actually installed a new remote control software and linked it to a remote program that I could use my laptop with....also remotely. No more screen, mouse and keyboard in the listening room.
Not only that, I was able to set it up for optimal sound settings, defeating any previous settings and going into areas I never would have found on my own. Even the previous owner didn't know how to do some of the stuff I did. I would have been able to do none of that, without the assistance of AI. I am pretty good with computers, but this stuff was waaaaay over my head. AI broke it down for me in layman's terms that I could actually understand and execute.
Now, it is as easy to operate as my streamer and I don't even need to be in the room to operate it. AI made it all easy-peasey.

^^^^ See? A.I. can be helpful. And may not have human ears to hear with however was able to point me in the right direction regarding a DAC choice and it turned out to be a grand slam homerun.Set up: 11.2 HT + 2ch

Oh. AI have ears. It is listening on your smart phone, smart tv, smart fridge, smart thermostat and whatever else is labeled smart these days.

Eh, I wouldn't ever take advice from AI when it comes to sound though. That's where forums come in to help with the collective observations (along with advice from a a few trusted ears), listening to gear with your own ears and experience comes into play. You may have just gotten lucky.
I could be incorrect on this assumption, but I don't think there is one member of this board that would have stated that Delta Sigma would offer a better sound than an R2R. That's where the empirical evidence from this forum would come into play. I have had both. Many different models of Delta Sigma at all kinds of price points. After hearing my first R2R? I'll never go back to a DS. As Trey states, it's akin to listening to musical wallpaper. I agree.

I must have missed that one. I was led to the R2R. I made a post where I did an A/B test while using the DS DAC on my UB9000 vs the R2R from the Denafrips. While the DS sounded really great, the R2R blew it into the weeds, DS=2D soundstage, R2R=3D soundstage.Set up: 11.2 HT + 2ch
