Check out these music memorabilia items that sold yesterday from the late Jim Irsay’s collection. Realized (sold) price on many items blew away the estimated prices.

My favorites are Clapton’s “Fool” guitar from the Cream days and Jack Kerouac “On The Road” scroll. Country singer Zach Bryan purchased the scroll.

^^^I really like this statement in you signature. It flows with the dollars the other musicians paid to have part of the collection.

Looks like it, albeit somewhat tarted up (I think).

This, e.g., is a 1980 Z-28, at least, according to the internet. Note the vent (real or faux? not sure -- although it looks real) behind the front wheel (as in the photo I posted previously).

The next-gen Camaro apparently came along in 1982 (again, I am trusting the internet here).

You are correct. It was originally supposed to roll out in 1980, but the extra boost the third-gen cars got from a little film with Burt Reynolds and Jackie Gleason gave the cars a few more years of life, so GM spent that time doing other things. They were also transitioning from the last of the real car guys to the lawyers and bean counters running the show instead. That is what got more than a few projects killed off, including this one...

There's an anecdote I read some years back about an old(er) school pilot encountering a 'glass cockpit' and 'fly by wire' in a then very modern Airbus. "Now I know how a dog feels watching television". :|
