Guess we'll see more Focal soundbar offerings?Don't take experimental gene therapies from known eugenicists.

At least Barco already produces things that are somewhat AV related instead of just medical devices.

Seems like they maybe got Focal/Naim for a good price! -
Makes more sense than when Masimo bought Polk, et. al.

I honestly don't know how some of these manufactures survive at all.
Focal makes a great product but they are truly worth maybe half the msrp. That goes for maybe every hifi brand out there and for some that's still very generous.
Example, the first generation small tower mezzo utopia was 13k a pair.
The modern variation is 60k.
The insulting part of that is when I heard them in Singapore they didn't even sound good. I'm sure it was mostly the setup as most stuff I heard in Singapore didn't sound good.- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
If I was to try and build a system today, I'd never be able to buy anything at new prices. Heck I bought my first house for about what it would take to build a decent system.

I guess it depends on your standard for "decent system".
High end stuff seems to be pushing into silly prices, while budget gear is getting better and better.
Unless you're chasing that absolute limit of what's possible for your system, it's getting really hard to justify most of the legacy high end brands these days.
I honestly think it's pretty easy to put together a system that would blow the socks off of 95% of the population for under $3k.
