    Why the political angle?

That is forbidden on this board.

    It's down.
It was having cloudflare kinda issues yesterday and the faithful were b!tc#in' on their "report problem" thread(s); many blaming the ads. :#
I'll try to be diplomatic, but with AK being down (or, more to the point, unstable) of late, some of their luminaries are showing up elsewhere. :|

    Ok, thanks.

Back in the early days of Audiogon that's where I popped my audio forum cherry, until they went to shite.
    I can relate.

Yeah, well... all things (and particularly so on the internet) have a lifecycle... an arc, if you will.
It was a great, fun site for a long time but it's been overrun with people with deeply held opinions (sometimes bizarre ones) and really poor social skills. Really poor. :/

Craziest rider I met installed a turbo on his Hayabusa. His helmet cam footage was incriminating.

Right!!!! Because a drag race inspired motorcycle just isn't fast enough for the street!! :#:D:D

It's funny about drag racers by the way. I was once involved with an organization called Racers For Christ. I got the opportunity to attend an NHRA drag race in Pomona CA. and met a lot of Top Fuel dragsters, rails, funny cars, the kind that shake you to your core and beyond when they fire up the engines.

As I was introduced to these drivers, the Regional Director informed them that I was a motorcycle racer, they'd reply with polite shrugged shoulder and say nice. Then the Director would say, no, not drags, road racer. Then with each one, they'd pop their eyes at me and say, You're crazy!! I'd just laugh and reply, You're sitting on in a vehicle with an atomic bomb in it and you're calling ME crazy??? We'd all laugh and I'd go to the next driver.

A very special breed those NHRA people however it is an experience I'll look back on as long as I can!

He didn't drag race, he 'commuted'. I built a few other parts for it and some beefy foot peg no doubt. 220mph on turnpike didnt look fun to me.
I asked him if he was the infamous ghostrider lol.

@xschop Yeah, I figured. I was referring to the bike as an inspired drag race machine then attempting to point out how absurd it was to install a turbo on it, all for just being used as a street bike.

All in all, your buddy kinda reminds me of me, "Too much is NEVER enough" :D

The story about drag racers was something extra I threw in. Sorry about the confusion
