The last piece of my first Stereo Marantz

1976 Pacific Stereo next to the Sports Arena in San Diego consisted of a Marantz reciever a Technics Turntable and two Marantz tape decks and some big **** Cerwin Vegas for 14 years old I was pretty happy.

We decided to sell the house I grew up in even though im a year away from retiring and So Cal would be great to retire in and get out of the midwest, the rest of the family lives in the midwest so be it. I found my old Marantz SD 1000 a store down the street sells classic stereo stuff had some belts they were replaced tried it out works like it always did some 50 years later. This ones making the trip back home and will be added two the 2 channel once I return. A trip down memory lane.

I spent a lot of time at Pacific Stereo good times indeed they sold a lot of Marantz, gear seemed that they promoted Marantz a lot, I still own a lot of Marantz stuff. That Sansui reciever is a jem do you still have it?

Looking to leave the San Diego area permanetley grew up there with the recent passing of my Step Father my Mom couldnt take care or the Yard, Pool, and the hill we lived on was no longer manageable for her she wanted us to take the house over and move her to independent living, how ever the cost of a decent place by Pacific Beach was 3 times the cost of a decent place here in the midwest. So decided to move her here and sell the place. Probably a mistake once I retire in a year but San Diego is nowwhere near as nice as it was growing up there in the 70s. I have my Marantz unpacked from the move and plan on adding it to one of the 2 channels soon. I said goodbye to So Cal last week.
