My PSW505 sub died and Polk customer service has an amp board or $180 +shipping.
Part number: RF5050-4. Does anyone know if this version fixes the problem that so many people are having with this sub?
Where is the version printed on the board, I want to compare what was originally in the unit.

New sub would cost considerably more, a lot more than the replacement amp. Can I ask why, do you have any history with the new version?
