It's Final

Well, almost 2yrs since filing and after 44yrs of marriage, my Divorce was finalized on December 30th. It's almost surreal because I always believed my Janey & I would be together until the end. Lost my marriage and our house all because of a lie. She got Catfished and sadly, I think she's still being strung along by this hack.

Oh well, it's over and yeah, I'm heartbroken, but I will continue to march. New chapter and new adventures ahead. I lost a lot of my gear and running a very modest 2ch now, but looking to rebuild soon. Before that happens, I want to improve on my living conditions first. Currently, I'm living in a very small studio apartment. Quite the change coming from a spacious 4 bedroom house. It'll happen. Taking it one day at a time.

    Really sorry to hear this.

I can't imagine what you are going through. I don't know how old you are but the older we get the harder I think it would be to find a new one.

Be strong. my friend, we are all here for you to talk to.

Stay strong Mike. Take care of yourself and take life day by day. Today the grief and disbelief and heartbreak might seem unbearable, but it will eventually get better. Keep your focus solely pointed toward the future.

Hang in there Mike. It does suck, but things improve day by day. Stay positive and let go of the previous image of growing older that you had, and try to replace it with something that you can do on your own.

Congratulations on starting a new chapter in your life! It's tough at first but lean on friends and family for support. Or a pet. I would have gone crazy(ier) without my dogs.

I was separated from my dogs for over a year. Then last August, Ms. Mele Aloha passed away..Jane was kind enough to surrender her to me and we had about 3 months together before saying goodbye. She lived a good, long life of 17yrs. Still very painful and I still grieve her passing terribly. She was my world.

    Sorry to hear.

I’ve seen a lot of people step in $hit and come out smelling like a rose, why not add your name to the list?

For now, enjoy your system and get back on your feet.

Many of us here have been through that, but perhaps not to the extent of yours, with 44 years of marriage. After that long, I can only hope she left you with at LEAST half of your retirement intact.

A failed marriage is a loss in psycho terms, which means the various stages of grief come into play. Embrace those stages, work through them, and you can come out in a better position on the other side.

It does suck with the sudden changes in your life. I was married almost 30 years. The first few months being single sucked. But as everyone says. It does get better with time. Although I got out rather easy. Kept the house, daughter was over 21, kept ALL my retirement. Filed the divorce paperwork and 31 days later I was a free man again.

Biggest change for me....at 53 years old. Trying to date again is a whole new ball game that I am still striking out at.

I awesomed your post but for the reason of you being able to spend the last bit of time with your fur child. Obviously not because of all the negative aspects that you have faced. Things will get better for you and I'm sorry to hear of your loss and of the end of your marriage.

Be well, Mike. You've gone through tough days and you'll have some more I would imagine, but keep plugging away at life and I know you'll find your way through to brighter days. Wishing you health & happiness.
