Iron Maiden are great, but are they Spinal Tap great?

Iron Maiden. Sure I like them but not on the level most do. I grew up listening to heavy metal music of the 80's and Iron Maiden was a part of it but never my focus.

I get board listening to them after a while. A full Album listen for me is a stretch. I much prefer many other bands of their time. I have seen them live 3 times and all 3 times they were great, the sound quality of their shows is a huge step over most other rock metal bands. They really pay attention to overall sound quality clarity and detail. They also don't play overly loud where everything turns to noise.

I wish I liked them more but I just don't

Iron Maiden has stood the test of time. One of my favorite metal bands. Bruce still sounds great and they put on a helluva show.

I saw my one of my other favorites last year. Judas Priest. They were **** awesome and Rob.....wow, Rob just brought it. Just like 1984 when I first saw them. Glad to see some of the bands that defined the category still around and kicking.

Iron Maiden cassettes were in heavy rotation in my '76 Cutlass. I thought I was such a rebel. I also vividly remember the music video for "Run to the Hills", which was partly done in the theme of an old B&W silent movie, fighting 'injuns'.

I thought I was being too generous including "Live After Death" (1985) and the Di'Anno-era albums (1980/81). :#
