Mushroom Coffee

Hello everyone,
Anyone mess around with Mushroom coffee? I have tried 2 different ones now. Laird and Ryze. Both are supposed to have the benefits from functional mushrooms and honestly I felt pretty different on the Ryze and not so much on the Laird.

Laird you have to brew like regular coffee or you can get the K cups if you have Keurig. Ryze is instant and you scoop 1 Tablespoon into your cup, pour hot water in and away you go. You can add Honey and or Creamer of choice if you wish.

Since I got long covid a few years ago, which I'm doing a lot better not perfect but much better, back in the gym working out lighter but there so that is important to me, Mushroom coffee especially the Ryze is really helping with my Long Covid anxiety issues I got a few years ago.

What happens is pretty fantastic, I did the Ryze coffee for 2 months and during that 2 much I barely had any anxiety issues. I didn't notice at first but over time, I realized I was feeling a bit better. I was sleeping a bit better, I was also feeling mentally a bit clearer. With Covid Anxiety and long Covid issues I have, brain fog is and was a huge part of my down fall. I'm not here saying Mushroom coffee cured me of all my issues but I will say it really helps alot.

After the 2 months, I went off Mushroom coffee and I went back to Green tea hot and Coffee on and off depending on what I felt like in the morning. After a few days, I felt my anxiety coming back, not as strong as usual but I noticed the difference.

I was at Giant Food Store and I was in the organic Isle and they have Organic coffee and teas. I found there the LAID brand Mushroom coffee. I picked it up and gave it a test drive. Well, it tastes more like regular coffee but a bit on the smoother side, I assume with the blend of Mushrooms in it gave it this taste. But what I found with this brand for me is that it didn't effect me like the Ryze did. I didn't feel like my sleep improved, I also didn't feel like my anxiety was much less. I was more controllable and less than before I started all this madness, but I don't think this brands version of Mushroom coffee for me was as good.

I ran out of that coffee last week and this week I was drinking Organic coffee to see if that would make any difference. Honestly, I feel like I went backwards from the improvements I was getting out of Mushroom coffee's. So tomorrow, I'm gonna buy more of the LAIRD since it's local and I can have it now, or I might stop by WEAGMANS as they have a few brands of Mushroom coffee for me to try out.

I'm also strongly considering ordering more RYZE which I really liked. Not so much the taste, it doesn't taste like a good coffee, it's more of that smoother lighter flavor that the LAIRD has but less coffee flavor. RYZE is very light coffee taste and more I'll say Mushroom coffee tasting. I only have 2 different experiences so I would like to try a few more.

I had to look it up as I was thinking they were the micro dosing types. Interesting outcome for you. I've tried MD capsules but the lions mane upsets my stomach. Dan, if You've found something that helps, keep it up especially if there are no strange side effects. The earth is filled with cures and ingredients to assist us. It's just a matter of finding what helps.

Interesting. After reading a bit about shroom drinks, I'm going to suggest my brother in law look into these coffees. He experiences bouts of anxiety which at first he blamed on his job, but even after a few years of retirement he still suffers from them. I don't understand his anxiety as it appears to me that there is nothing stressful in his life these days but I guess stress is not the only trigger?

I may even try these coffees as I find with age my head is sometimes in the clouds and these drinks claim to help with that.

Anyone who wants to understand anxiety that has never experienced it needs to watch the movie

    Everything everywhere all at once

Is actually an incredible movie if you can make it all the way through but to me it fully captures what anxiety is like.

    - Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

Anxiety is the worse thing I have had to deal with in my life. It comes out of nowhere most of the time and jus takes over. It's incredibly hard to deal with.

I've now tried a lot of different brands.

    Ryze
    Laird
    Everyday Dose
    Beyond Brew
    Simple truth Organic
    La Republica Superfoods
    Cuppa

All of them have their benefits. I however haven't locked into 1 brand or the other yet as I'm still trying stuff you and seeing how I feel. Anxiety , energy and focus are the motivation behind all of this.

Legality is similar to the stinky budz. Some states and/or cities have decriminalized or made it legal, but at a Federal level, it remains a Schedule 1 controlled substance. I know some people who microdose for anxiety, depression, etc., because most companies don't test for it in a drug screening.

Thanks for sharing your detailed experience. I’ve been trying Mushroom coffees too, and while Laird and Ryze have their merits, you might want to give Atlas Mushroom Coffee a try. They focus on high quality, single origin beans blended with functional mushrooms, so you get both the coffee flavor and the wellness benefits. Personally, I noticed better mental clarity and more balanced energy without the jittery feeling, and it’s also really convenient for brewing at home. Definitely worth testing alongside your favorites to see how it compares!

I have not tried that brand, Thanks for sharing.
