Just trying to buy speakers

I'm about to throw in the towel. Buying used speakers from anyone other than you guys is. a nightmare. I have found plenty of deals on Facebook market place but these people make it impossible to just close the deal. I just found a UNUSED pair of LSI7's in Ebony and Im trying to buy them off her today. She wanted a small subwoofer, I offered her my Subfire HRS 8 in perfect working condition and near new physical condition. It's awesome musical and theater use ability. Sunfire HRS series subs are really nice and I was willing to let this one go for the LSI7 in trade. I also offered her Money for them just so I can get them today.

The seller said " Well I'll wait until I find the subwoofer I want. I don't need the money for these speakers right now"." I also have like house work to do today so today isn't a good day anyway Blah Blah Blah".
OK WHY post them then????? I feel like every time I try to strike a deal, I get the run around.Dan

It's happened to me a few times. I almost want to cuss them out. But I've learned to "HOLD OFF" and just let the "powers that be" work on the situation.
The latest acquisition of my B&W CM10s was one of those f'd up and wth lady communication breakdowns. I eventually did get them, but I had to buy the monster Pioneer Elite receiver, also. That was not in the ad, but the prices were so low, I did it anyway.
I never met the lady either. I met her tax accountant at her home. She was doing her taxes last April or thereabouts. It was almost like she was selling her husband's or boyfriend's stereo and TV. The last things that were in the big house except some bedroom furniture in a bedroom that I could see as I walked to the living room. The accountant had papers spread out all over the bed.
I'm glad I didn't tell the lady through email or over the phone to forget about it. I'm out.

I feel like every time I try to sell something on FB Marketplace, I get the runaround.
Almost always get offers at 1/2 whatever I have something listed for, even if it’s a damn near giveaway price.
Marketplace sucks.

Facebook -- it was a thing 15 years ago, but their core demographic moved to other, hipper things, and all that's left are the dregs; a vast wasteland now.

I still manage to find deals on FB, Craigslist, and the other places. Not as often as 15 years ago and there are many flakes for sure. These days, it takes a significant amount of patience to buy or sell.
