These have good reviews for a sub at $400. Anybody ever heard these for music?

No I haven't but they look intriguing! That compression guide technology is very interesting and I clicked on the link but it was dead. I'd like to read the patent.

Several years later...Just wondering if anyone has heard or bought any of RSL's subwoofer products.
I'm considering one of the 10” models for my low key living room TV setup. The 10S Mk2 is now priced at $500, but they have a lower model for ~ $350. I'm not looking for SVS reference levels, just something to match with my R200 and give a decent LFE response for the occasional streaming series.
My old ML Dynamo 700W has some amp problems and I can't find a schematic for it. I swapped some small transistors that looked cracked, but that didn't really help.

I read some reviews, and I was seriously thinking of buying one. 10" or 12", I saw that the 12" is huge, so the 10" was going to be the one.

There were tariffs involved, and RSL paused shipments to keep costs down until the tariff thing got sorted out.

I just got an email a few weeks ago, and it's sorted out. They posted pricing, which seems great for what you get.

I bought chess products in the meantime
, and since I have about 8 subwoofers, the desire for a NEW sub vanished pretty quickly.

But I ALMOST did buy the 10" from what I read about them. ;)B)

Tony, I don't have any spare subs sitting around, so I decided to try their lowest model (10E) when it came back in stock today. This is for TV viewing mostly in a 3.1 setup. We will see how it sounds. It 'should' go much deeper and have more output than my ML Dynamo which is a sealed 10" in a smallish cube. The amps are spec'd similarly between the RSL and the ML but the box on the RSL is larger and slot loaded. I've also got my eye on a used 10S MkII, but it is a healthy drive for me unless I plan a visit to see family in Florida.

I hope it does the trick. ;)B)

I had a Velodyne 10" slot loaded, and it was awesome. I do regret selling it to an old co-worker, but he was a good guy when we worked on the same property.

I'm going to go back and read some reviews and stats on that 10E model. :)

That RSL Speedwoofer would be a nice swap in for my Martin Logan Original Dynamo, if it had speaker level inputs. Both Dynamo's I have tried have a rattle, but only under certain rare circumstances but it is repeatable with certain music or movie effects. Kind of frustrating. I don't think it is voice coil rub. Probably an electronics defect. The song "The Package" on the album Thirteenth Step, by A Perfect Circle ALWAYS triggers the rattle.

RSL's next step up (10S MkII) has the speaker level input you seek. It is also supposed to have a DSP switch for LFE or Music. I really would like to hear that one too. It is OOS now, but they pop up used occasionally.

Arrived yesterday. Home late, barely had time to plug in and then had some settings headaches with my SC-71 (damn that thing has a terrible interface). I'll say, it makes prodigious amounts of bass for a 10" in a ~15" cube. I was gone all day today but hopefully I'll do some level adjusting, phase adjusting and run the room correction (Advanced MCACC) after settling in this evening. Overall, happy so far. I know it needs at least a few weeks to break in that woofer and really start sounding its best.
At some point, I may take it down to my theater and see how it compares to my venerable SVS PC+ from 20 years ago. If it is faster and more musical, I may end up getting another one or two and replace the old SVS.
