Has anybody bought a one step LP and compared to an LP they already own of the same music?

I have many one-steps/UHQRs and also have other pressings. Although I have all the Eagles one-steps they are not worth the extra expense.

The Donald Fagen Nightfly one-step is much better then my other pressing. And in my opinion is my most prized record.

All the SRVs/Alan Parsons/Michael Jacksons/Blood Swear & Tears are worthy of the one-step process.

The AP UHQRs - Bob Marley’s and about half the Steely Dans along with Roger Waters and Hugh Masekela are much better than my other pressings.

I would like to hear the Petty but I have not preordered it.
2 Channel Rosso Fiorentino Volterra II, 2 REL Carbon Limited, Norma Revo IPA-140B, Norma Revo DAC-2, Lumin U2 Mini, VPI Prime w/SoundSmith Zephyr MIMC, Modwright PH 150, Denon DP-59l w/Denon DL-301MKII, WAY Silver 3 Ana+ Speaker Cables, WAY Interconnect Cables, AudioQuest Niagara 7000 w/Dragon, WAY power cables for all other sources.

I figure the customer most likely to buy versions like that already have every other CD/vinyl/SACD release available of a particular album. The few I have are improvements on old record club versions but they should be.

There is a 7 LP box set of Wildflowers & All the Rest that's available for around the same price but it's not on 180g vinyl. A less super deluxe version is available for around $40 new.

    Well... it's bleedin' obvious, innit?
This record is so expensive because it's... Wildflowers.
The workaround is clear. Go with Hothouse Flowers instead. Almost as nice, but much cheaper.
Of course, they smell like a funeral home, but that dissipates after a while... :#

PS Per @Emlyn's post above, I am definitely going to focus on the Less super deluxe editions of everything from here on out. They'll better match everything else around here!

I do have the less deluxe package and it sounds good to my ears, but as usual it's that "upgrade" itch that has me scratching.
