The force is strong at AK. Still waiting to hear back from the seller over there, just two days since I reached out. Will reach put again tomorrow. Not going to lie, it has been a bit of an eye-opener looking through Barter Town and Barter Completed Sales. Also, using the search engine to look for things, it's a slippery rabbit-hole.

Out of curiosity, are there any members her with the SDA SRS or SRS 1.2 or 1.2TL that are using the Parasound Halo A23+ and feel as though given a do-over, they would opt to purchase a 21/21+/ or the Halo 21+ in order to have more power? Just curious...

The putz level is strong at AK.
    Fixed it for you.

I had a great experience as a first-time buyer over at Audiogon. Hope AK treats you the same!

Update on the Paragon Halo 21+ for sale @AK.org that a few of you messaged me about. I made contact on Tuesday this past week , but was not the first to make contact and he has successfully sold the unit to someone else.

Thank you for pointing me in the direction of the sale, it was exactly what I am currently looking for. I was all ready to roadtrip to DC and possibly buy it, but this one was not to be. I'll keep looking and will find another great deal, maybe with a little help...

    Thanks again!

Agree on the A-gon site, F1nut, for buying and selling.
Bought my SimAudio Moon gear on that site many moons ago... pun intended.
Along with Legacy-Audio gear and others.

For a fee they (Audiogon) have a bluebook access to see what selling prices are for used gear. Actual selling prices and not the "What They're Asking For" prices.

These are the sites I found the best for purchasing used audio gear from....
    Club Polk
    Audiokarma
    The Music Room "TMR"
    Audiogon
    US Audio Mart
    Canuck Audio Mart

More caution, my opinion, for sites to spend my hard earned money on used audio gear are....
    eBay
    Hifishark

Not that one can't find reputable sellers and fine pieces from the 2 above it just seems there's more scammers on those two sites, again from personal experiences.

I've just recently started to look on these sites and would appreciate others opinions on them.....
    Craigslist
    Marketplace
    Reverb
    OfferUp

Hifishark isn't a site for buying or selling. It is a site that provides links to sites that are.

    I bought gear from TMR.
    Warranty, great return policy.
    Very easy to deal with!
    Fast, well packaged too.

You can limit your search to your local region.

    @richdel, sent you a PM
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

Going to resurrect this thread with an update, and a question.
Still no new purchased equipment. I have broadened my search to include a couple of Musical Fidelity
amps/integrated amps. Specifically, the M6si and the M6prx models. Still looking for a Parasound A21+ or Halo 21+ .
Might have a lead on a couple of Adcom amps. The 555ii and the 545ii. Hoping to purchase the Eversolo DMP-A8 before the end of the year, possibly during BF or Xmas deals.

Now the question. Does anyone have opinions (good or bad) about the Parasound HCA 1500a (used) or the Parasound NewClassic 2250 v.2 (new). the 1500 is being sold used at ~$500, and the 2250 is being sold at ~$1600. By dropping down from an A21+ or Halo A21+, would there be a noticeable drop in performance of any kind? Not a store nearby where I can hear either of these units, and they wouldn't be with my speakers, so hoping someone has had some real-life experience with either of these Parasound or Musical Fidelity amps/receivers. Thanks in advance.

You can’t go wrong with a John Curl design. My Parasound Halo A23+ can even power my old Ohm F speakers.

I'm using a 1989 Adcom 545 for my SDA CRS+ and that combination sounds awesome. You can find Adcom's (545/555) for sale constantly on eBay and marketplace for cheap. They are super easy to work on plus you can do all types of upgrades to those amps.
