Dang. I can't tell what sort of tape recorder that is. :/
It's got that stereo tape recorder in an attache vibe, which was a thing in those days. AIWA made a pretty nice one (see below), but it wasn't that angular, and not meant for pro use. 'Trane's tape recorder also doesn't look like a Nagra or Stellavox to me, nor a Uher, although I am way less savvy vis-a-vis those. Also not getting a Sony vibe, and based on the aesthetic, not a Tandberg, either. :p Cannot think of an Ampex portable looking like that, either.

    And on another car note...

"Hemi Under Glass but now we've got a Boss In The A**????

The Secret Mid-Engine Mustang: Ford’s Hidden Boss
In 1969, Ford quietly began working on a wild idea — something almost no one outside the inner circle knew about.

Codename: The LID Project (Low Investment Drivetrain)

Mission: Build a mid-engine Mustang using the monstrous Boss 429 V8.

At the time, the Boss 429 was a street legend. But on the track, its massive front-end weight threw off handling — a 60/40 front-heavy balance wasn’t ideal. So Ford engineers, alongside Kar Kraft, asked: what if we put the engine in the middle?

The result was a one-off prototype: a mid-engine Boss 429 Mustang unlike anything Detroit had seen. With the engine now behind the seats and ahead of the rear axle, weight distribution flipped to 40/60 — a dramatic shift. Wheelspin dropped, handling improved, and the project showed promise.

But the gains weren’t enough to justify mass production. The project was shelved. The prototype vanished. Some say it was destroyed. Others believe it's still out there — hidden away, waiting to be discovered."
