Actually I was a bit hesitant to post that, normally the total is at least twice that amount. Today was a "shoulders" day so relatively light, "leg" day is more strenuous with heavier weights. When I joined the Y in Baltimore they had an online workout program called ActivTrax and it gives you a different program each day and gradually increases the weight and repetitions as you get used to it. Even though I've changed locations, I've managed to keep to the program.

I was just goofing by pretending that I believed that you could lift 10,000 pounds at a time. :p

    [ˈentrəpē]
    noun
    physics
a thermodynamic quantity representing the unavailability of a system's thermal energy for conversion into mechanical work, often interpreted as the degree of disorder or randomness in the system:
"the second law of thermodynamics says that entropy always increases with time" · "the sum of the entropies of all the bodies taking part in the process"

lack of order or predictability; gradual decline into disorder:
"a marketplace where entropy reigns supreme"

    LUCKY CAT
    by Billy Collins
It's a law as immutable as the ones
governing bodies in motion and bodies at rest
that a cat picked up will never stay
in the place where you choose to set it down.
I bet you'd be happy on the sofa
or this hassock or this knitted throw pillow
are a few examples of bets you are bound to lose.
The secret of winning, I have found,
is to never bet against the cat but on the cat
    preferably with another human being
who, unlike the cat, is likely to be carrying money.
And I cannot think of a better time
to thank our cat for her obedience to that law
thus turning me into a consistent winner.

She's a pure black one, quite impossible
to photograph and prone to disappearing
into the night or even into the thin shadows of noon.
Such an amorphous blob of blackness is she
the only way to tell she is approaching
is to notice the two little circles of her eyes
then only one circle when she is walking away
with her tail raised high-- something like
the lantern signals of Paul Revere,
    American silversmith, galloping patriot.

    [emphasis added]

Gulfport Mississippi in 1969 after Hurricane Camille

Saw this picture online this morning. In 1970, I went to New Orleans for the first time, with friends to have some fun. We drove from the Atlanta area. The drive took us along coastal Highway 90 and through Gulfport.

It was one year after Camille, and that ship was still located on land across Highway 90.

I think the picture was taken from Highway 90 with the Gulf of Mexico behind the person who took the picture.

It's one of those things that stay in your mind. I have often thought about that ship when hurricanes are mentioned, but this is the first time I have seen a picture of it. Repair was still underway on the roads with one lane traffic in places.

I read the ship had to be cutup and removed in pieces. Hurricanes are powerful.
