DUDE, you should be in the negative noise area with the multiple multiple noise reduction appliances. Soon it will make the music so quite you'll hear no music at all....

Hehe....it has been (and currently is) a true pleasure. I had NO idea...

Yeah, got that email as well.
Placed an order for the Main Stream. -
Just a side note here, Mark has offered the unit he is sending at a price of $185 to one of us that auditions his product. If enough people show interest in this I guess it will go to a person via random number pick similar to karmas here. Also, I have absolutely no affiliation with Mark or his company, just a curiosity about this product.
I somehow missed this part of the roadshow. I would very much like to be considered for the opportunity to purchase this at the end of the rotation…
Officially withdrawing from consideration for the road show unit - I just placed my order using the summer sale code. Total was $229 and change shipped.
As strange as it sounds, I’ve been missing it ever since I shipped it off - that is perhaps the most concrete proof to me of its value, in my opinion.

That code saved almost $150 off both. I wish I was in a position to have taken advantage of it.

Looks like we are getting close to the end of the trip for this road show. H9 will be getting it next and bikerboy after that (if he has returned home). Did I miss anybody along the way, or is anybody else interested before we put the SW up for sale via random number (if more than 1 person expresses interest in it to purchase @ $185).Yep, my name really is Bob.

I popped on both a Main Stream and a SnubWay. The current 'Summer' discount is much better than the previous 'combo' discount, so I'm happy
I heard first-hand the improvements of the SnubWay in the demo tour, so I have no reservations in this purchase. You are more than welcome to try mine for whatever timeframe you’d like! You may find that one, or the other, brings more magic, like I did with the SnubWay, which could save you even more. Just say the word!

So I'm wondering about the Main Stream, what does it do all by itself and then what do you hear with it and the Snub Way. I only have the SW and it's a keeper for us...as usual, wondering what I may be missing w/o the Main Stream.Yep, my name really is Bob.

The both pair together extremely well.

I’ll begin this with saying I usually don’t try out tweaks/accessories like this so I went into this with very low expectations and a great deal of skepticism. I have some upgraded Audioquest interconnects and speaker cabling in my system and to my ears I can’t tell the difference between it and generic no name cabling I was using.
My system consists of a Marantz 8012 AVR, Parasound A21+ used for mains, Luxman D-05u SACD player, Oppo 205, Sony HAP Z1-ES , Polk L800’s , and a PSA TV2112 sub with all but the Parasound plugged into a Panamax surge protector. Not high end by any stretch but a very decent system for me and my needs.
I spent the weekend with the snub way. Probably 2 hours Friday night and 6 hours each Saturday and Sunday. I played multiple SACD discs through both disc players- MoFi Van Halen’s, Dire Straits, Eagles, etc as well as standard redbook CD’s. I have my entire CD collection stored on the Z1-ES so tested with it as well.
Initially I didn’t detect a noticeable change but the more I listened the more I wanted to continue listening. I realized there was a difference to what I was hearing. It was a subtle but a positive change nonetheless. What I was hearing was more “there” more “visceral” more “real” if that makes sense.
I pulled it out of my system a couple of hours ago to box up so I can ship it to the next person in line. What I’m hearing is less involving without it plugged in. In my opinion there was enough improvement to me that I am going to order one tonight.
To wrap all this up I can tell a difference with the Snub Way in and out of my system- a positive difference. As I said at the beginning of this brief review I don’t usually get into tweaks like this but I am very glad I made myself available for this road test as learned everything is not snake oil. -
The number of people who have purchased one of these after trying it in their system is pretty crazy.Things work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out.-John Wooden

Not to me. I don't endorse anything I don't believe in. The proof is in the pudding.

Mine just arrived today. I missed it in my system as soon as I shipped it off.“Human beings are born with different capacities. If they are free, they are not equal. And if they are equal, they are not free.”

I don’t know man. I’ve seen several of these “road tests,” but I’ve never seen a consensus among the participants as there seems to be here. I realize cost certainty plays a part as this is a relatively inexpensive item, but darn near (or maybe everyone) who had it there system bought one? That’s not the way these things usually work.Things work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out.-John Wooden -
The original post that started all of this....Ladies and Gentlemen of the forum.....I am in awe at what this thing does. I'm not gonna get into a long, drawn out review of this thing.
I'm just gonna come right out and say it. You need to order one. Like, now. Right now. Every one of you.
When was the last time I ever endorsed an audio product like this? No review, just a recommendation to purchase it. The answer is not even once. Yes, the cost is relatively not much (in the whole grand scheme of things) but the return?

The number of people that were skeptical before trying this device (me included) but changing their opinion is at a higher level than any product I've seen tested on this forum.Yep, my name really is Bob.

I think these products are different in that they don’t impart any kind of sound signature, they only improve what is already there. For example, with the Snake River PC demo, a cord that I fully expected to like, and also highly recommended and endorsed by Tom, just did not play well in my system with my otherwise mostly Nordost loom. The SnubWay simply cleans up what you are already hearing in a noticeable way, but it doesn’t add or change anything in the process.

I was really skeptical of this product, so much so that I first laughed off even doing the demo.
Then I thought about it and decided; "why the heck not, worst case I waste $20 shipping it off".
Once having it in my system, I simply decided is was doing enough good that I wanted one.
Yes, the pretty reasonable $300 price tag also played its part. If this was twice the price, or more, it's very possible I would have liked it, but never pulled the trigger on buying it. -

That was my thought process as well. I ordered the mainstream as well when I ordered the snubway with the thought process if I didn’t like it or couldn’t tell the difference in my system I could return it at no cost. The snubway itself really surprised me.

@muncybob - Is this demo program over or do we still have one or two more reviews to go?
I would be curious at the end of the demo program the following;
Who heard it through the demo program and ended up buying one?
Who heard it through the demo program and ended up NOT buying one?
Who bought one, without being in the demo program, just based upon the responses as they came in?
Oh, and how many jumped on the chance to get the MC/Snubway combo after all was said and done?

heiney9 currently is testing the SW in his system. After a week or so it will be "last call" to give this a ride and once sure nobody else is in line to try it, the Road Test unit will be offered up for sale.Yep, my name really is Bob.

Brock will have the Snub Way until next weekend and he's the last on the list to give the SW a look.
We were told the unit being shared would be available for purchase from the vendor @ $185 to your door. If anybody is interested, mention so in this thread. If more than 1 person is interested then we'll do the random number thingy.Yep, my name really is Bob.

I still have it. Maybe make a new post for those who might be interested in purchasing this one.
I did the best I could considering how busy this time of year is. Just don't have the time to really do a thorough comparo like Fall/Winter.
My final opinion is for the $$$, it's worth it. I'm sure I heard some improvements but they were slight because of how good my Puritan Audio is.
I'm glad we still do stuff like this from time to time. That's what makes this place a little more unique. Thanks to Bob and all the other who made this possible.
Currently is plugged into my office rigs Furman power center. See if I notice a difference when it's gone...lol
Still deciding if I want to put my hat in the ring to purchase.

I agree. I know several members did buy the SW/MC combo but after the reviews I thought there would have been more interest in the road test unit Oh well, it is what it is.Yep, my name really is Bob.
