You won't believe this but I scored a set of pristine RTA12Cs and Monitor 4s from a guy looking to clean his basement. He's the original owner of both sets. The 12C top hats are intact and look great. I'm on heaven.
I'm collecting more and more Polk vintage and don't know what to do.
Next step step is getting the 1.2TLs for the heck of it.

I have 10As, Monitor 4s, Monitor 7s, Monitor 12s, s10s, and the 12Cs.
I haven't admitted to myself yet but think my favorite are the Monitor 12s.

Serial numbers are meaningless. The best answer is; "It depends, it depends, it depends..."
Yes, most of us do have an idea of their worth. We need your speakers specific's to arrive at a value
range, I.E.: Scarcity in your location, your exact model version; A,B, Series 2, CONDITION, any upgrades, do the mid-woofers move freely with no scratching heard when press tested with speakers not on. Many variables to consider. Not trying to evade your question. -
Thanks

I've come to the conclusion that a lot of vintage gear is worth more to "us" than to "them". That said, I guess the trick (with anything vintage) is finding someone who values it as much as "we" do. I have owned (some) my Polks for over 40 years...and I know in my case (at least for the Monitor 4's), I'm going to make sure that one of my kids get them when I'm gone.Yamaha RX-A2050 AVR (5.0.2); LG OLED77C2 4K TV(4) Polk Monitor 10B's w/SoniCaps, Mills, and RDO-194 tweets (R/L F/R)(2) Polk RC80i (Top Middle)Polk CS300 center channelAnalog: B&O TX2 Turntable, Nakamichi Cassette Deck 1Digital: Pioneer CLD-99 Elite LD, Panasonic DMP-UB900 UHD Blu-RayBedroom: Arylic Up2Stream AMPv3 driving Polk Monitor 4's w/peerless tweets
