Polk CSI40 w/ Polk Monitor 7
I have an opportunity to purchase a CSI40 for a pretty reasonable price and was wondering if it’d be a good match with my old Monitor 7s?

Before someone suggests the 400i or the 350LS, I simply do not have the space to accommodate those speakers. I’m looking for the next best thing at a reasonable size.

At this point just buy one and make your own decision. The CSi40 is the replacement for the CS400i, they are virtually the same size, SOOOO if you didn't have room for the CS400i......

I don't have the dimensions on hand but they are actually very different
- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
My mistake! I was under the impression that they were smaller than the 400i. Really, it’s the depth that doesn’t quite work with my tv stand. Any recommendations that are on the smaller side? Thinking of throwing in the towel and buying a CS245

Agree to a certain extent Trey, dimensionally they're going to be pretty darn close. -
22-5/8"W x 7-1/2"H x 12-3/8"D csi40
Shorter and wider
Cs400i

I rest my case..😁😂😁

4 inches is alot for some 👀😂🙏- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

Does the cs300 fit?
-
I think the CS300 fits! I was looking into the CS-245 because it’s apparently a newer version of the 300, but I could be mistaken
-
I also have a CSi3 laying around, but I think I could do better…
-
I had the CS300 years ago because it was the only one that would fit at that time. Good solid center channel speaker. I'll keep a lookout.

Have you considered the old Polk rm series if depth is a concern- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

I’m reconsidering the CSI40; I definitively think I can make it work with my space, which begs the question again: is it a close enough match to the monitor 7?
