Why do I have an occasional "pop" from the subwoofer on the magnifi mini?

I have a Hisense TV and Apple TV. There are random pops apropos of nothing and sometimes it happens when I turn it on and off. Why? Please, explain how to make this work.

    Hello,
Welcome to the Polk forum. It is possible there is something, in your house, that is causing a transient spike somewhere that gets converted to a pop from the subwoofer. There are a multitude of things that could cause this, such as your heating system thermostat coming on. Or, your hot water tank or refrigerator's compressor turning on.
The next time it happens try and see if you could tell what else happened at the same time. Are there any timers used in your house? Outside lights, dehumidifiers, electric heaters switched on with a timer?

Are you saying that it is an electrical spike? It's possible the heat has come on. I do have a couple of times but this has happened far more times than the timers can be associated.

A: That is certainly a possibility. Not just things with timers, that was just a possible suggestion. As a test are you able to connect the sub to another outlet in the same room? Basically, it's either being caused externally in the environment or via something wrong with the subwoofer.

I apologize for not thinking of this sooner, but try unplugging your router or moving it to another location and see if the popping stops. Interference between the router and the subwoofer is a fairly common source of popping.
