Anyone remember phase linear speakers?
Still rocking them

Still rocking them
I thought it was fairly amusing also. The Polk Ogre doesn't always get 'it'

I've never seen those.

They have somewhat of a Boston Acoustics A-400 look to them

Phase linear andromeda 3’s. The sub died decades ago. Currently use a RSL speedwoofer with them. Amazing they still sound good to me. Also play carver silvers, infinity kappa 9,Polk sda srs’2 sda srs 1.2tl. And a slew other of vintage bookshelf’sI thought it was fairly amusing also. The Polk Ogre doesn't always get 'it'

Are those drivers mounted sideways- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

The 'sideways' drivers (look like Peerless AlNiCo cone tweeters) with vertical diffusers strike me as similar to ("inspired by") the omnidirectional propagators of Stuart Hegeman's HFS-2 loudspeaker for EICO. He later made similar designs under his own name.

Hegeman also designed, among other seminal pieces of audio equipment, the redoubtable harman/kardon Citation 2 amplifier.

What year was this speaker produced?

Late 70’s I believe. The tweeters are mounted facing up. Then the diffuser gives it 360 degree dispersion. They are very open and airy highs. It was a bob carver design. Always been a fan of his. The pair I have are 9 drivers,I’ve heard 8 are more common. But I can’t back that up. They play very well using some mono carver silver 9t’s ampsI thought it was fairly amusing also. Thanks. That was what I was trying to figure out.....if Bob was involved with them. IIRC, he left PL in '79.
I too, am a Carver fan. Not of all of his offerings, but many. Especially his tube gear...that man knows tubes!
FWIW, I'm the guy who created Carverfest close to 2 decades ago. Bob and Peggy are planning this year to stop by my house and listen to my rig. Good times!
Those are admittedly some strange speakers. I hadn't seen them before. Glad to hear that you like them. Enjoy!

I have yet to find a speaker the Silver 7t/9t can’t handle. My NHT 3.3 pair are notoriously inefficient, but my 9ts don’t even break a sweat…

I have literally seen a set of 9t's arc weld a set of speaker cables before. Skip cut the spades off, hooked them back up to the speakers and kept playing music.
One of these days, I need to tell you about "the cannons" on the 1812 with a pair of Carver Amazings...man, that was a sight one never forgets!

Then there are the Infinity 2000 II with the Walsh inspired "ice cream cone" tweeters that always snapped off during shipping:

Infinity Monitor IIa with the Walsh tweeter. Produced 1975-1979.
The pictured speakers are not mine, but I have a pair of these in my secondary system that work beautifully.

One of the first products offered by DKL Sound Lab was a modification kit for the original Infinity 2000A speakers with electrostatic tweeters. The kit improved the low end response by adding Mortite to the woofer cones (I know, "Oh the horror using Mortite on paper cones!") and sealing the cabinets.
