Hard to tell these days. The "executive" smoke pretty much mimicked a slight smell of da' skunk. At least it didn't permeate over a 1/4 mile swath in all directions.

Have you been to Vegas lately? You cannot escape the smell anywhere on the strip or on Fremont…

Well, it is legal there. A whiff of ganja doesn't bother me as much as 2nd hand cigar smoke, and I used to keep a stocked humidor. They taste great, but the smoke is disgusting.

Awe, dang. So talking about smoke is okay....but the deleted post is not?

    Dang, man.

    Really?

Even the explitives were omitted. Never mind. The moderation is a hit or miss. Strange, to say the least.

How come all those folks that used to complain about second hand cigarette smoke aren't complaining about second hand dope smoke??? Breathing second hand smoke just like smoking anything is the same regardless.

We are taking about outside, and it's usually just a whiff passing. Not quite the same as being stuck in a constant cloud of smoke. Most people who complained (and still do) are stuck in a closed vehicle, restaurant, house, office, etc. I'd certainly complain if someone lit up or vaped in a restaurant or on the train.

I am sorry, Bill....but that's deflection. That isn't an answer to Jesse's question.

I absolutely disagree. People would still complain if they had to sit in a room or closed vehicle with any type of smoke, be it from cannabis, tobacco, or cloves. Most never had an issue with people smoking outside and I think that's still the case. Most states that have legalized cannabis still have laws that are supposed to prevent smoking it in public places. Yes, I know there are probably lots who ignore that. Eventually they may get a ticket or whatever their law enforcement can do to discourage that behavior.
Also, to make a fine point, you can smell that stuff without being exposed to any of the smoke. Terpines and other aromatics are not the same as the tar and nicotine laced smoke that used to fill bars and restaurants.

Never mind. This is an issue that is useless on an audio forum. Y'all take over the conversation. In the meantime, I'll go out and enjoy a smoke.

As much as I dislike pot smoke I'll take that 9 days a week over an older diesel (pre def) blowing exhaust in your face. I do not miss those days of old Cat rollers with side exhaust that seemed to be attached to me on hot days working between buildings.
Truckers complain about the expense and hassle of def but working around diesels for 40 years I can attest it's the best thing that ever happened to them.
