From worrying about pipes busting from freezing to opening doors to let some fresh air in, it's quite the relief. Oh, and having our Country back from the brink has been an overload of emotions, too.
It's hell getting old! But it's better than the alternative sometimes.Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them. -

Ah man, I love when we get a break in the weather, and it's warmish and breezy. I've been enjoying the late afternoons into the eves the past three nights, just taking advantage of the warmish weather, and doing stuff around yard, garage, and vehicles.
Dan, what you need is some layers, my friend! Polypro long johns, some merino wool socks, lightly insulated leather hiking or work boots, and a pair of coveralls. I got a medium weight set from Dickies years ago. Handy.
Other layers are polypro top, merino wool top, and a merino wool Buff brand neck gaiter, to keep the chill off when it starts to cool down.
Latest addition I'm enjoying are these Gorilla Grip gloves I picked up at Home Depot. Breathable hand back, grippy palm and fingers, but not so thick a coating that you lose tactile sensation. Surprisingly "warm". Won't say they're great for the cold, but when you're moving around doing stuff, they keep the chill off. Pretty durable, so you get quite a few uses out of them. I just washed a pair last night with some pumice hand soap and followed up with Zep Citrus Cleaner, because I got some starting fluid on them while I was working on one of the old vehicles. Rinse, hang dry, ready to go again next day. They had a 20pr-pack promo around the Holidays for $20.
Safety glasses, earplugs, and/or some Bose QC Ultra, and ready to enjoy the outdoors man - get out there!

Hahaha, nah man, all that stuff is super comfortable and easy to move in! It's not like wearing three wetsuits.
I can't stand wearing clothes that are restrictive. Merino wool blends wear like cotton (soft), but are temperature regulating and wicking.
About the most restrictive thing I listed were the the Dickies coveralls, and that's because they're all cotton. I bet they make 'em with stretch now. I hardly ever wear those, but I was doin' dirty work.

I could never stand wearing coveralls, I work outside in Michigan and I don't even like wearing a winter coat. I usually just layer with sweat wicking on the bottom and then several sweat shirts.
