SDA 2's 1984 Original Condition

So it's December 2024 and I am running 1984 original SDA 2's. I have heard there were some upgrade/enhancement kits for these available in the past. Can anyone comment on these kits - like what did they do and what did they consist of? Are they still available, where, how?

    Well yes, Polk still sells some replacement parts in the form of upgraded tweeters, but modifications are on you. Like I stated, plenty of info here, so get your search on. B)

    There are no kits, but there are upgrades. Plenty of info here, just get your search on.

    BTW, there are a number of SDA 2 models, such as the SDA II, SDA 2A, SDA 2B, so it would be helpful for you to know exactly which model you have.

    Although I believe that this model was released in 1986 and the OP states that his speakers are from 1984.

    Yes, those are the ones. Polk will sell new tweeters for $60 ea but no mods
