I feel like I should point out, I’m not condoning the murder.
But pointing out the difference between sports star contracts, and CEO’s of corrupt/unethical companies, and why they aren’t going to generate the same feelings and thoughts with the general public. -

I’d hazard a guess that most of the people celebrating the execution wouldn’t mind seeing the same thing happen to the largest beneficiaries of the sports deal, too, just sayin… not sure it’s the example of irony you think it is.
I think the professions of those involved in the sports deal are probably less offensive to the people you’re talking about, but the amounts of money involved in the deal are certainly disgusting, as mentioned…
I respectfully disagree. The folks cheering on the murder of Brian Thompson and routinely vilifying CEOs and corporate executives never spread their ire to athletes, musicians or celebrities - they CELEBRATE the fact that Taylor Swift is a multi-billionaire…“Human beings are born with different capacities. Things like that are why I love driving a truck that can easily and very quickly pass them on an oncoming merge ramp/lane. What infuriates me most is when they move over to the passing lane at the bottom of a hill, knowing full well that they won't be able to pass the other truck because their downward momentum is no more. Yet, the &^%$@!'s do it anyway.

The double trailers at night hauling furniture and US mail for me were the worst of the worst. They never lifted in our construction zones and a highway cone was often all that kept us from becoming another statistic. And knowing what normally sits behind those wheels made things even scarier. That's one aspect of my working life I do not miss.

I use to make 3 trips to NYC to the old Fulton Fish & went to NJ to pick up backhauls. I bought my first truck. Freightliner from Brunswick NJ & it had a 350 Cummins & that thing hated hills & I always had someone behind me. I always used my 4ways. Sorry everyone.. The worse part is it had the rear trailer tubes that drained melting ice/water. I know I upset a lot of people Randy-Maine
