I have a paid of Jabra Elite 85t that seem to have most of that functionality though not marketed as hearing test or hearing aid. The app can play a series fo test tones for each ear and you indicate when you can hear it as the level is increased. They use it to set the equalizer for your hearing frequency response. It also has "hear through" that can amplity ambient sounds, though I don't think that was the intention. It seems that tweaking the app could do the same as Apple. The technology has been there. Apple just thought of a clever purpose.
