That NuVista M3 is drool worthy. I wanted one badly many years back, but ended up settling for my previous LSA Statement integrated, which was a rocky road of reliability. Not sure if I'd replace my current setup now.See profile for rigs. Nothing else here.

A few days ago these were listed in Atlanta area for $4500, and I've seen others in the Atlanta area. I wonder if people who have these large speakers are getting older and have trouble managing and handling them? I have three Infinity Subs (2xSSW-210, 1xSSW-212) and they are heavy and give me trouble moving. I can't imagine having the large speakers.

Anyone want this for themselves? She wants to give it to someone who'll cherish it. TLC likely required.
Interesting piece with a neighbor that was converted to a turntable/stereo in the 60s. Other than being 42" W x 42" D x 32.5" H, what you see is all I know. It's in the Acworth/Kennesaw, GA area. Would offer to help transport but it's a little too tall for my SUV.
Trying to find out more about it now...

Not 100% sure it’s a Salamander. I’ve not ever seen doors like that on any of their models and I’ve had many.
It’s looks more like a brand called StudioTech, and their models look and function very similar. Here is a listing for their 48U unit which might be what this one is, just with a different door handle.

How many Salamander (or other brand) racks can show up in this thread? Is that the only thing that feels like a deal these days?See profile for rigs. Nothing else here.

lol….
Well I think @Hermitism is still in the market and I’m always looking for a deal to flip and these check both those boxes….
Finding speakers cheap is kinda hard since most that are were ride hard and put up wet, or are priced at a bit deal number…
Same with audio gear unless it’s older receivers which are still iffy to buy honestly from others…"....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963) -
There are only certain things I keep an eye out for. So if something comes up, I'll post it. I have two Salamander Achetypes. I could probably use a third, or swap out a black one for a cherry, if I find one. I keep an eye out for Wireworld Equinox speaker cables. I have two sets, but need a single for a center. Actually saw a single for sale before I had ever purchased a set, but it sold long ago. Salamander, Solidsteel, Equinox and Pio SC models are the only things I actively search for. I have two SC models, so I really should drop that search.

For those of you who may want to up your game on your rack, Trey spotted this one near Greensboro, NC. Killer rack at a decent price but too small for my needs.

Decent price? ...That's more than my speakers cost me on the used market.See profile for rigs. Nothing else here. -
Well, for a rack like that? It's a decent price. You wouldn't want to know what a rack like this costs....

I have seen some German racks that were upward of well over 17K new....and that was about 17 years or so ago. That's why I settled on my Empire rack. Mostly because I could afford it. Even that wasn't a "bargain" and I was out 10 Benjamin's. 11, after tax. Again, this was 17 years ago dollars.
Comparatively speaking, for a rack that offers isolation? It is offered at a decent price.

Tom, Me thinks this is going the way of the $700 fuse or the $6500 AC receptacle discussion. German made doesn't add up to 17K for a rack. That's gotta be 80+% profitSee profile for rigs. Nothing else here.

It's no different than a 5K Ethernet cable or a 2K filter. Some folks have the need or see the value, others don't. If this rack could actually fit what gear I have, I would seriously consider it. In fact, I did.
Right up to the point of me not being able to fit the gear I need on and in it. I am currently in the market for a new rack that has effective vibration control/isolation properties, and this is one of the "types" of racks I have been looking at.
BTW, most speakers that one buys retail? Yeah, they are all at 80+% profit. That does not mean that all profit goes straight to the designer/manufacturer. A big chunk goes into retail sites, advertising, shipping, normal business overhead costs, middlemen, VAT fees (if overseas), packaging, R&D costs, packaging costs, advertising and marketing costs, warranty costs, etc.
An 80% markup on speakers has been discussed many times on this forum and in general, is considered an industry norm. If folks are okay with paying that kind of normal markup for a speaker, then why would one have any issues with other pieces of gear?
Some folks at are at a level (and also make the dough) to warrant such purchases. I'll stand by my statement that this is a decent price for this rack. Some folks will never see the value, others will.

My point exactly...It's no different than a 5K Ethernet cable or a 2K filter....

This isn't the "What is Best" forum. This is Polk. Yes, a few of us have ventured to the high end, but I don't think any of us are sitting on a system that looks like this:

That Naim rack though, glass shelves at that price? No thanks. I think there are much better options if you truly want isolation.
