Subwoofer auto option light is red

I had a friend tell me that my Polk subwoofer is not working right because when its set to Autooption the light is red. When I turn it the ON position it turns green and Standy by is Red. Is it truly not working right when its on Auto.

Note - nothing is hooked up to the subwoofer at all and he said its malfunctioning. Thank you in advance!

    Hello,
    Welcome to the Polk Audio forum. I believe your subwoofer is working fine, when in the "auto on/off" position and there is no audio signal coming into it it will go into standby mode and the LED will turn from green to red. The LED is indicating the standby function, not the operation of the subwoofer. You could always connect a source and verify that it is working.
