R200 Banana Plugs Installation

I just took delivery of a pair of R200 speakers last week and I'm having trouble connecting my speaker wire using banana plugs. The binding posts are too narrow to fit them. Is there something I need to do to set the binding posts to be able to accept banana plugs?
