Dual-sub SVS PB 2000 and PB 2000 Pro

My HT is vaulted and approximately 20'x18' and 10' height at the highest point.

I bought a SVS PB 2000 about a year ago. I was thinking of adding a second one, but that particular model is discontinued.

Is there any cons to add a somewhat different sub to my existing one, specifically the PB 2000 Pro?

    The 2000 Pro model is the closest to the older model but it's not the same thing. The newer one has a stronger amp, dual ports, DSP, a different crossover, and a smaller cabinet. Because of the differences it might work best to have a 2000 Pro in the front corner set up with DSP and the older model in the rear of the room as a support. Or go bigger with the 3000 Pro up front.

    For overall output the 2000 and 2000 Pro are not much different but I'd prefer not to have them as "stereo" subwoofers up front.

    Sounds like I should sell my current sub and buy two 2000 Plus... Let's if I can sell it locally, then I might bite :)

    That's what I'd do. Symmetry is important if they are both going to be at the front of the system and there are big benefits to having stereo subwoofers for music. For home theater doesn't matter so much.

    In my den I never listen to music. I only do gaming and watch movies. So I guess adding another sub even if not identical is not a big deal.

    The only time not having a perfectly match set of subwoofers would be close to or at reference volumes. Still the 2000 and 2000 pro both hit down to 20hz so they are going to be closer in performance than not.

    But I do agree IF you can sell your 2000 and get 2 Pro's that would be the ideal move.

    I would match them if possible especially if one gets DSP and the other doesn’t. Does the original pb2000 have the dsp/svs app?

    The original PB 2000 does not support the app.

    If I sell PB 2000, I'm also considering buying a single sub with 15" woofer like HSU VTF-3 MK5 HP
