^^^These are my CRS+'s they are considered the 3rd generation ~1986, blade/blade interconnect, one SL2000 tweeter, both MW are 6510's. Has the split crossover (same as 2A's of same year.) They cannot be TL'd without new MW driver, crossovers etc. Too expensive, I just enjoy them occasionally. I bought them kind of locally for $140.00 around 2012. They came with the Polk stands which is why I drove 140 miles each way for them.

The fourth and last CRS generation and second CRS+ iteration, has a pin/blade interconnect, one SL 2000 tweeter, one crossover board (sames as 2B's), two different MW drivers (6510 and 6503 I believe) and can easily be TL'd. The ones in the CL ad for $150.00 are this version.

140 miles each way? Lucky you, I drove 350 miles each way for mine. Well, in all honesty I drove from Southern California to the Bay Area for a few other items as well.

Mine were 4th generation as well and the original stands were also included. The stands is what made the deal as they don't come up for sale too often.

When I sold them a few years ago, I immediately had sellers remorse. Oh well such is life.

It don't seem like a lot of audio gear is moving like it used to..

I agree! I have several pairs of speakers I want to move along. Listed way below value, I think anyways, and nobody interested. Like a dead MINT pair of Infinity RSIII's for $300. I did mange to sell my pretty minty pair of Polk 7B's a few weeks ago for $150.
    --Gary--
Onkyo Integra M504, Bottlehead Foreplay III, Denon SACD, Thiel CS2.3, NHT VT-2, VT-3 and Evolution T6, Infinity RSIIIa, SDA1C and a few dozen other speakers around the house I change in and out.

Well, CL isn't what it used to be, at least based on my recent experience in my area. I posted the same ads on CL and FB and had much more interest/sales on FB.

Even if it's just the right passive and a pair of stereo and sda drivers, that's worth it if local.

Annnnd, if someone wants to experiment, all they need are the magnet structures from the tweets for Wuhans.

I've got beautiful spares now. I don't need to scrounge =)

I very good deal indeed. Although it might seem too good to be true, sometimes people, especially rich ones, don't mind nearly giving stuff away.

A few years ago I saw an ad for some LSI25's in mint condition for 75 dollars. I reached out to the seller and he informed me that the speakers were in a recently purchased home in Palm Springs. It was a two hour drive but the speakers were well worth the trip.

The seller insisted that I send him 35 dollars in order for him to hold the speakers for me until the weekend. I did so and a fellow coworker said that it was surely a scam . After all who would sell some speakers for such a low price especially in their condition.

When the weekend came I drove out to the Springs to pick up the speakers. I was greeted by a jovial older gentleman who informed me that had recently purchased the two million dollar home as his retirement residence. The home came with an audio system but apparently the new owner had different taste when it came to speakers so he practically gave them away to me.

Oh, he also included a Denon receiver a couple of power conditioners and some decent speaker cables.
