Anyone knowledgeable and using one of these?

Would like to hear pros/cons, ease of use, best quality for lowest cost type recommendations, etc.

Please share your experiences.

    Pay attention to the throw distance. It is critical.
    Overall, the short throw laser projectors are pretty cool and put up a surprisingly good image. They are however, probably best used as a living room type of setup. For a dedicated dark room theater, a ceiling or shelf mounted long throw projector will give a better image (if comparing similar price points).

    In a darkened room, these short throw projectors create a sorta light halo coming out of the projector that I find distracting. That wouldn't be an issue in a room that isn't fully darkened though.

    Not better or worse but when I said pay attention, I meant that the throw range is pretty narrow on these, so your setup has to match that. They HAVE to be pretty close to the screen.

    I have been using an Optoma CinemaX P2 for more than a year. I love it. It is bright compare to others. I use it on my living room on a 120" screen.

    You will need a fixed frame screen a drop down screen will not work.
