Can I exchange legs on R700 speakers somehow?
Hi, I am considering r700 speakers R100/r900 for 5.1 setup. I was in Audio Video Show in Poland and run into this problem though - legs are taking too much space on R700. Is there any way to exchange them to be less wide?

The outrigger/port design is one molded piece on the Reserve series of floorstanders. In theory someone could cut the outriggers off. Not a good idea at all to do that. The outriggers are a safety element as well as a performance element.
The R600 should be a little less wide.
See this video around the 23:48 mark for the bottom of the R700 and why the design isn't easily changed...

I think you should trade them in for a set or R600's or even R500's. They have a smaller footprint.Dan
