Revenge of the Sith Trailer

Anyone caught the new, full trailer?
My hopes are personally renewed. Having been a bit disappointed with the first two (let someone else write the script George!) I am hopeful after seeing the new trailer that this film could be kickass, and at least give the first two a reason for being.
As great as it looks, I really wish the first film had started further along in the whole Palpatine taking over/Clone Wars process. Anakin Skywalker was more a concept than a character in the first two films, will look forward to seeing him beomce an actual integral character in the next.
A little peeved that the first two did not delve too much into Palpatine or the Sith clan past, would have liked more on that. It's a shame so much of the story takes place in the books, and the films are only an outline for the meatier parts (14 years have passed from film 2-3, including the entire Clone Wars).
Still, could be a great film and a big payoff. Here's to hoping.

I'm one of like 7 people who at least moderately enjoyed the first two of the new trilogy, and if the trailer is any indication, the third is going to blow them both out of the water. The only thing I'm worried about is SO MUCH has to happen in this one for it to tie into Ep. IV that I'm afriad things are going to be more rushed and forced than they should be.
But the battle scenes look great, and there's some cool stuff that looks like it's gonna happen... can't wait.If you will it, dude, it is no dream. -
This looks like it's going to be total badass! I'm hopeful that Lucas hit the mark on this one.
Here's a link for a Quicktime version.

Watch the part where Sam Jackson and 3 other Jedi go in to arrest Palpatine. He's like...YEAH RIGHT then takes on all 4 at once. The scene with Anakin marching in with an army of clone troopers following is way cool!
JohnNo excuses! -
John,
Thanks so much for providing the link to the trailer online. I've been searching Google for the past two days, but couldn't find it. Don't know how you did it, but thanks a lot.
Looks like Sam Jackson's request to get a good death scene did not go unanswered. Looks like Palpatine caps his ****.Current System:

All effin day man... I'm so damn juiced. Mays release date should be marked as a notional holiday. I'll be there taking the day off to see it first.

Why? They'll put both out and get more money.Expert Moron Extraordinaire
You're just jealous 'cause the voices don't talk to you! -
Maybe, but most of us have 1 & 2. I would put out the set, force everyone to by all three just for final episode. Lucas is a smart cookie. If this is last episode.
I am not up to date, but if I am wrong please tell me. Is there another in the works somewhere. IF so OH YA!

Lucas has made it emphatically clear that he does not intend to make any more Star Wars films, however he is not closing the door for others to follow in his path.Current System:

He has also hinted at a TV mini-series. Personally, I wouldn't put anything past him. He seems to change his song quite often. If you will it, dude, it is no dream. -

Perhaps, but the idea for the mini-series has been around for a very long time. I remember reading it in an article 10 years ago about how they were going to do a mini-series. -
The wife and went and saw Robots this weekend(I liked it btw). I was very pleasantly surprised to see the trailer in the theater. My heart rate went from around 60(guessing) to well over 100 within the few minutes the trailer progressed.
I liked the first two okay, but I am just extremely excited to see this one. Actually the last 30-40 minutes of Episode I were okay. The musical piece during that stretch seemed to tie everything together enough to make it worth sitting through the pod race and other monotony.
I liked Robots. I am waiting to see Sahara(read the book at least twice).
At least there are some good movies spread out over the course of the year.Tschüss

I'm on the fence with this. Not sure yet but most likely I'll wait for the DVD. The trailer did nothing for me, quite boring actually. Just more of the same cartoon'ish special effects and bad acting.
I can watch the originals over and over and over. This new trilogy, watch'em once, maybe twice and there is no repeat viewings, they lack everything the original trilogy had.
If I trek to the theater for it, it won't be until July after the crowds die off. The only driving force to get me to the theater would be seeing Vader on the big screen and that would have to be at the same theater I saw him for the first time in 1977.

HELL YEAH!!!!!
Im so effin stoked about this!!
Lucas said in an interview that this one will be for the purists and not for the masses so he doesnt expect it to do well commercially as its more story oriented rather than action packed. Fine with me.
What cracks me up is that Lucas is a half assed director and writer yet these Star Wars movies are some of the greatest of all time! Doesnt matter I guess. He comes up with such an amazing story that bad directing and dialogue cant take away from it. Still I would LOVE to see James Cameron or Spielberg direct one of these.

I don't believe we've seen a good story from him since the second SW film (now called Episode V) and Raiders, which was derivative at best and just packaged nicely. Decent trailer but it's generated the same buzz as the last two episodes (and look what we got than). What's worse is that you can see how the "plot" line develops.
Anyone catch the 60 minutes interview with Lucas? They showed a clip with Anakin and Kenobi doing a baton twirling contest with each other - cool but weird at the same time.Polk Rt800i -Fronts

FYI, it was always called "Episode V". The first one was always Episode IV, actually, too. Watch teh scrolling story thing at the beginning - it says "Episode IV" and "Episode V".If you will it, dude, it is no dream. -
The first one wasn't always called "Episode 4". They slapped it on there when they rereleased it right before Empire.
EDIT:
Interesting tidbit from www.imdb regarding Empire...
"The book "Star Wars: The Annotated Screenplays" reveals that, when the script for this movie was first written, the idea of it being "Episode V" of a 6 (or 9) part serial had not yet been established, and it was at one point called Episode II..." -

I stand corrected. I wasn't even alive when teh first two were made, so all I know is what I got from first seeing them on VHS
Didn't realize Lucas was up to his "editing" trickery way back then as well... If you will it, dude, it is no dream.
