@Clipdat I have a dB meter. I use 75dB on average but will go up to 86dB occasionally for no longer than 2 hours. Keeping my hearing is my goal lol.My gear:
- TCL 75QM7K TV
- Onyko TX-NR656 AVR
- RT3000p Fronts
- CS1000p Center
- RT35 Side Surrounds
- RT35 Rear Surrounds
-
Then I am confused as to why you are experiencing audible distortion at those relatively tame/normal listening levels.

@Clipdat
Forgot to inform you. I fixed my RT3000p amps yesterday. Once I got them set up I figured I'd do something I haven't done before, I pulled the left tweeter (which had a melted dome) to see how the ferrofluid was holding up.
The voice coil was melted a little. F1nut told me back when I made my post about getting my 3000s that I should replace it. I pulled an SL6506 from my RT600i and popped it in.
Waddaya know! There's no more distortion. I guess it all was coming from that one tweeter. It was so bad too... now it's fixed!My gear:- TCL 75QM7K TV
- Onyko TX-NR656 AVR
- RT3000p Fronts
- CS1000p Center
