MagniFi Max soundbar blinking orange light

When I plug it in I get a blinking orange light. Power cord is lit up green. I have tried every fix found online and nothing seems to work. This soundbar is about 5 years old.

    The blinking light means the soundbar has gone into the protection mode. Polk will send you a courtesy replacement at no charge. Just email your name, address, email address and telephone number to: Kim.Jasper@masimo.com.

    Hi seleniumfalcon

    I’m having the same problem with my sound bar and the orange light is blinking is there anything I can do to fix it I don’t have any repair ppl near me for Polk

    Welcome to the Polk Audio forum. The best approach would be to send an email to: Kim.Jasper@masimo.com and explain the situation. He will need your address, telephone number, date of purchase and the serial number off of the bar. I know he is taking a day or so off so it might be a couple of days before he responds. But, don't worry he'll help.

    Hallo liebes Forum,
    ich hatte das gleiche Problem, die POLK Magnifi Max blinkte orange und ließ sich durch nichts dazu bewegen, zu reagieren. Ich wollte schon aufgeben und habe nun, nach viel herum probieren, doch noch herausgefunden wie man sie wieder aktivieren kann.
    Eins vorab: Alle Angaben aus dem Internet (z.B. die Reset Taste auf der Rückseite zu drücken und 15 Sekunden zu halten etc.), haben ein kleines Detail verschwiegen. Deshalb hat es bei mir auch erst nicht funktioniert. Da gibt es noch einen Trick.
    Und der ist eigentlich sehr simpel:
    1. Netzkabel rausziehen!
    2. Reset Taste VORHER drücken,
    3. Während die Taste gedrückt ist, das Netzkabel reinstecken und dann 15 Sekunden bei gedrückteR Reset Taste warten.
    4. Es folgt ein akustisches Signal, die weißen LEDs leuchten kurz auf und danach leuchtet die orange LED dauerhaft.
    5. Nun können Subwoofer und Satelliten wieder gekoppelt werden.

    Viel Erfolg dabei… Ich hoffe, ich konnte einen guten Einstand in diesem Forum geben.

    I had the same problem. The POLK Magnifi Max was flashing orange and nothing would make it respond. I was about to give up, but after lots of trial and error, I finally figured out how to reactivate it.

    First of all: All the information I found online (e.g., pressing the reset button on the back and holding it for 15 seconds, etc.) left out one small detail. That's why it didn't work for me at first. There's a trick.
    And it's actually very simple:
    1. Unplug the power cable!
    2. Press the reset button BEFORE.
    3. While the button is held down, plug in the power cable and then wait 15 seconds with the reset button pressed.
    4. You'll hear an audible signal, the white LEDs light up briefly, and then the orange LED lights up continuously.
    5. Now you can pair the subwoofer and satellites again.

    Good luck with this… I hope I was able to make a good start in this forum.
