Popping from sub even after buying a toslink cable

We bought the magnifi fx about 9 months ago and have had popping from the sub anytime the program was paused or watching a tv show on netflix or paramount plus. The sales guy from Electronic Express was at least honest when he said it was a flaw on Polk Audio that was never corrected and he suggested a toslink cable MIGHT fix it. It did not! This obviously has been an ongoing problem that Polk never got around to fixing. The unit also burns through batteries like crazy! We keep extras in a drawer! I never had to worry about that before! The unit often disconnects from the remote and I have to remove the batteries and put hem back in to reconnect or the unit disconnects completely and i have to unplug it, wait about 10 seconds, plug it back in to get it to respond to anything. Yeah, it sounds good when it works but it a waste of $600 bucks I would like to spend on something better but it's about 9 months old! Enjoy your money Polk! Never again!
