Regarding what I was talking about earlier. Good understandable explanation of effects of baffle width/size on baffle step loss and imaging. I wish he had addressed large radiused corners and beveled/faceted baffles. Very good though.

There is good conversation regarding baffle-step in the Stereophile review of the Wharfedale Lintons.
One thing is, just like everything in this hobby, it all comes down to individual preferences.
Some people like their speakers to completely disappear, and others like a more full, robust sound and aren’t concerned as much with not perceiving the cabinet (i.e. classic Harbeth, Spendors, Wharfedales, JBLs, and Snells).
The video demonstrates nicely how skinny speakers compensate for baffle-step loss voa the crossover.

I just read it thanks. Yep I guess baffle step loss would be seen as a *problem* by engineers who don't properly compensate for it in speakers with narrower baffles. I'm in Danny Richie camp of pulling speakers out into the room to optimal to get that deep soundstage and even if I can't do much about my wide baffles (besides some felt), the roundover frame I have encourages that :"omni" mode that helps the speakers to disappear. I agree that it's a hobby of *to each his own* but I get my enjoyment from forgetting that I'm listening to two speakers and feeling like I'm listening to a live event. I think that's what Andrew Jones is trying to achieve with his deeply beveled/faceted baffle.George / NJ

The review was more Andrew Jones book signing tour than review.
11 Paragraphs of Jones quotes on design choices.
A. Jones came over to set them up and positioned them "sideways"
on JA's 24' stands. Tested w/out the grills using a CD player and roon.
Stereo imaging precise and stable. Clean sound. Dynamic almost like
a full range speaker. Clean. Natural soundings midrange. Clean.
Measurements:
reaches +- 91db sensitivity
A bit higher than 8ohms for most of the audio band but not a difficult
load for SS amps. (no surprise there)
