Hello and happy New Year....
I have 2 x RTiA5 and my center is the CSiA4. I know how important the center channel speaker is for HT, and bigger is better
I'm looking for the CSiA6, but found a CSi5 in - apparently - perfect shape for $40
Should I get it since I've read in many forums that the differences between CSi5 and CSiA6 is mainly cosmetic but sound is the same?

My personal quest is to save to world of bad audio, one thread at a time. -
The 1st picture is the one for sale for $40
The 2nd picture is one I've found on internet
I don't understand why there are only 6 studs for the grill on the one I consider buying, when the other picture shows 8 !!!

Are you sure they're not just out of view in the photo?I disabled signatures.

REALLY!?!Political Correctness'.........defined
"A doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a t-u-r-d by the clean end."

Yes, really.......I'm (too) cautious when I buy on ebay
But I have it now and it's in perfect shape
Quick question: is it best to put it directly on the TV console, or use the rubber feet?RTiA5 + CSiA4 + Jamo SW410E

Yeah, use feet. If you put it directly on the shelf, it likely won't be level and will get scratched up, too.
You can decide whether you want soft or stiff feet. I use these 3M bumpons for a lot of stuff, but they're stiff urethane. I know there are some 3M-adhesive'd some small soft ones, which will damp vibration transmission, but can't find them; only bigger ones. Anyway, the bumpons are super-handy to have around. I use them on tons of stuff.
These days though, I'd probably be looking more at the Sound Addicted acoustic foam products for complete isolation from the shelf.

I'd probably go with a set of these, and place them slightly inboard of the outside edges of the center speaker, or a set of the wider pads that are designed for studio montors/bookshelf speakers for greater isolation.
This set is like the monitor isolation pads, except cut into 4 sections instead of just 2. Another great thing about these is that you can orient the foam in different ways to set the angle - straight, up or downward. Could use in combination with the CSi5/CSiA6 orientation options to set desired angle

Here are a few bumpons you can try if you want the sticky feet.
3M Bumpon SJ5306

3M SJ5003, black

Here are some soft rubber ones from Sound Addicted. They're pretty big. If you have solid stands, I know that small soft rubber ones like the bumpons above work perfectly. If not, the size of these larger ones would probably help a lot with something like a glass or thin wooden shelf.
