I always get tired/sleepy in the late afternoon, post 3PM. When I was working I just drank coffee, but after retiring I sometimes nod off in the recliner for an hour.

Rarely, but I understand from doctors and such that 15 to 20 minutes is ideal. IME, I agree. Any longer and you're in a fog.

    Some times, sometimes not.

I get up around 10am most days. Then get some Orange drink+juice or milk and look on the PC for a while. Emails, Polk Forum and the internet news and local weather forecast in about that order.

Sometimes around Noon or 1pm after Outnumbered. Sometimes around 8pm. 2 hrs. after dinner.

I'm still recovering from years of BS, Some of those years were really bad. LONG Sleeps were my friends.

I will always have neck/throat issues. Most days are a lot better than the "somewhat" bad ones now. I don't have near 1/2 the pain I used to. I'd say it's 90% or less most days now. :)

Some days I HAVE to go rest my neck and head and shoulders. Tension builds and tiredness combine.

The tension gets so bad about every three weeks or longer, my neck kind of looses a little mobility and I sense it. I then try to crack my neck by pressure pulling and it snaps a BIG snap back into position. Those are good snaps too. I feel a lot better when that happens.

But the naps really do help when I take them every other day or so. ;)

I don't sleep long at night anymore.
6 hours would be a lot. A short cat nap
here and there during the day back in my
man cave recliner. There are no rules for
    retirement.

Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. What? 12 ounce curls aren't weight lifting? :)

Seriously, I try to use weights 4 days a week, but only drink beer on Tuesday and Friday night. Can't wait for tomorrow (Tuesday) night.
