So did you hear a difference with the dynamat on the speaker ?

    Yves
I hope I caught you in time.

I used Armacell. Did you obtain the material and apply any damping to your driver frames and magnet shields?

Tap the shields lightly - they easily ring like bells thus all the drivers’ shields NEED Armacell or equivalent. The frames reflect mid and lower treble frequencies. The closure stuffing does NOT absorb or prevent reflection of those frequencies.

HD & Lowe’s sells Armacell/pipe wrap*, and it’s cheap! Get some if you haven’t before you close up your speaker(s). If you have the patience apply some* on the frame behind the rear of driver cone - I’ve heard the diff.

Apply either the Armacell*, Dynamat, or Secondskin to the larger portions between the rib bracing of your closure interior. These** may perform better than this* as they’re thicker, but they cost more. Regardless ANYTHING is better than nothing.

    You’ll thank me later…

    Just making’ binding post plates.

Can I use a miter or table saw w/a blade that cuts wood?

Or very fine teeth for metal going very slow?

    Thnx.

Acetal machines well but carbide bits will eventually overheat faster than in wood

    Table saw cuts well
